Gatteo a Mare is a small town
overlooking the coast of Romagna, near the mouth of the
historical Rubicone river.
Julius Caesar pronounced his celebrated saying "The die
is cast" over 2000 years ago, and, since then, culture
and tradition have always distinguished our resort.
For instance, we can remember the so-called "Strauss of
Romagna", Secondo Casadei, renowned violinist and musician,
creator of liscio-dancing and of the special kind of music,
suitable to be enjoyed and danced, that made our area famous
all over the world.
